Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®)
Scott Cheney has earned the ChFC® professional designation from the American College, Bryn Mawr, PA.
The ChFC® designation is the most advanced financial planning certification available and prepares candidates to meet advanced financial planning needs of individuals, professionals and small-business owners.
ChFC® candidates must complete a minimum of 9 college-level courses and 18 hours of supervised examinations covering key financial planning disciplines including income taxation, retirement & pension planning, investment planning, and estate planning.
Candidates must also fulfill stringent experience and ethics requirements and stay current with 30 hours of continuing education every two years.
Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®)
Scott Cheney has earned the CLU® professional designation from the American College, Bryn Mawr, PA.
The CLU® is the world's most respected designation of insurance expertise and prepares candidates with the in-depth knowledge necessary to provide expert guidance to individuals, professionals and small-business owners.
CLU® candidates must complete a minimum of 8 college-level courses and 16 hours of supervised examinations covering key subjects including life, disability, and long-term insurance, life insurance law, the use of life insurance in business continuation and estate planning applications, and group & executive benefits.
Candidates must also fulfill stringent experience and ethics requirements and stay current with 30 hours of continuing education every two years.

Scott Cheney is a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals™.
